SONiC-DASH Use Case

Validating cloud scale on SmartNICs / DPUs

Open Networking and Keysight

Keysight is focused on driving the success of open networking ecosystems. Starting with SAI, SONiC, DENT and more recently with SONiC-DASH and OPI, we are helping vendors and end-users of open networking forums succeed in building and deploying these systems.

Keysight’s involvement with DASH community

The SONiC-DASH program started with the charter to "deliver enterprise network performance to critical cloud applications". Keysight is helping to validate DASH implementation every step of the way.

• Validating behavioral model (BMV2) through CI pipeline using Open Traffic generator

• Contributing test methodologies and framework

• Performance-at-scale validation for each vendor’s hardware with “Hero Test”

• Enhance SAI testing capabilities

• Auto-generation of DPU configurations https://pypi.org/project/dpugen

• Migration of same test from simulation (BMV2) to real hardware (xPUs)

The ecosystem and testbed
